Valerian Tincture

Valerian has been used medicinally since the time of ancient Greece. This herb is well known for its ability to ease insomnia and night waking. Valerian is also useful as a pain reliever, effectively treating muscle cramps, headaches and menstrual pain. An important herb to have in your first aid kit for sure!**

Heartsong Herbs harvests their Valerian root in the fall after its 3rd year of growth. This makes for rich, potent medicine and gives us growers a big dose of patience.

Suggested Use: Shake well. Take 40-60 drops in water 30 minutes before bed or up to 3 times a day for pain relief.

Contraindication: Some people have the opposite reaction to Valerian and become stimulated. If this is your first time taking Valerian, take a 1/2 dose during the day to make sure of it’s effect.
